Sylvain Larrat, DV, MSc., DÉS, Dip. ACZM

Originaire de Bretagne, je suis docteur vétérinaire, diplômé de l’École Nationale Vétérinaire  de Nantes, titulaire d’un Diplôme d’études spécialisées en sciences cliniques vétérinaires de l’Université de Montréal (résidence), et Diplomate de l’American College of Zoological Medicine.

Mes études et mon expérience m’ont permis de d’acquérir une expertise dans le domaine de la médecine et de la chirurgie des nouveaux animaux de compagnie (NAC), exotiques, de la faune sauvage captive et non captive, et de la faune aquatique. Je travaille en clinique pour soigner des NAC, mais aussi pour des animaleries et des institutions zoologiques.

Je participe aussi à des projets de recherche, en particulier grâce à mes compétences cliniques, épidémiologiques et statistiques. J’ai été relecteur pour JZWM, JEPM, BMC Veterinary Research, Folia Zoologica et pour le programme de financement de National Geographic. Je continue à exercer des services d’assistance scientifique et statistique auprès de clients vétérinaires, indépendants ou en institutions.
